Every shot lands in a fixed slot. Hover to copy, save, mark up, or pin. Swipe it away and the cards above fall down—nothing jumps when a new one arrives.

Pick up a capture card and drop it into a message, an email, an issue, or a folder. The file materializes when the drop completes. No Save As. No hunting afterward.

Arrows, shapes, text, counters, highlights, blur, and pixelation remain editable when you reopen a capture from history. Redaction is different: it removes the pixels underneath for good.

Is Scrozz really free?

Yes. Scrozz is free and open source under GPL-3.0. There is no paid tier, advertising, or trial that expires. Donations are welcome and never required.

Does it work on Windows and Linux, or just Mac?

All three. Scrozz was cross-platform from its first commit. The shared interface stays consistent while capture, permissions, shortcuts, and drag-and-drop use each desktop's real APIs.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-in or hosted Scrozz service. Download it and use it.

Does Scrozz use AI or send screenshots anywhere?

No model sees your screen and there is no telemetry. Text recognition runs on your device. A capture leaves only when you drag, copy, save, or upload it somewhere you chose.

Can I share without a hosted screenshot service?

Yes. Drag or save a capture anywhere, or connect your own S3-compatible storage for links. Scrozz never sits in the middle.
